RESOLUTION NO. 6861 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING A PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THE MOUNDS VIEW <br />COMMUNITY THEATRE, A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION TO CONDUCT <br />CHARITABLE GAMBLING FOR THE MOUNDS VIEW FESTIVAL IN THE <br />PARK CELEBRATION ON AUGUST 20, 2006 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Theatre has requested that the <br />City Council allow them to conduct charitable gambling (BINGO) at the Mounds <br />View City Park for the Mounds View Festival in the Park celebration; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board requires that the local unit of <br />government (city or county) pass a resolution specifically approving or denying <br />requests to conduct charitable gambling; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Theatre, is in compliance with <br />all requirements of the Mounds View Municipal Code with regard to charitable <br />gambling regulations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Theatre has requested a one- <br />day charitable gambling permit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Community Theatre will be conducting <br />BINGO for the Mounds View Festival in the Park celebration on August 20, 2006. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby authorize Mounds View Community Theatre, to conduct <br />charitable gambling at the Mounds View City Park on August 20, 2006, located at <br />2401 Highway 10 in Mounds View. <br /> <br />Adopted this 26th day of June, 2006. <br /> <br />_______________________________ <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />_______________________________ <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br /> <br />(seal)
