Item No. 07E Type of Business: PH & CB Meeting Date: June 26, 2006 City Administrator Review: ______ City of Mounds View Staff Report To: Honorable Mayor and City Council From: Desaree Crane, Assistant to the City Administrator Item Title/Subject: Continued Public Hearing to Consider Resolution 6833, a Resolution Approving An Intoxicating Liquor Business License (On-Sale) for Robert’s Sports Bar and Entertainment located at 2400 County Road H2 At the June 12, 2006, City Council Meeting, a Public Hearing to consider Resolution 6833, a Resolution approving an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for Robert’s Sports Bar and Entertainment was opened and closed for public comment. A number of residents were present to discuss to the Council potential noise violations at this establishment. Attached are the minutes from June 12, 2006, outlining these noise concerns from residents. The owner of Robert’s Sports Bar and Entertainment, Greg Waste, along with his attorney, will be present at this meeting to discuss these noise issues and answer any questions you may have. Attached are police call reports from Robert’s Sports Bar and Entertainment for your reference. The time period of these reports are from January 1, 2005 to June 13, 2006. Recommendation Staff recommends that the City Council ask the necessary questions about these noise complaints expressed by the residents at the June 12, 2006 City Council Meeting. Staff recommends approving Robert’s Sports Bar and Entertainment’s application for an On- Sale Intoxicating Liquor License pending a satisfactory inspection from the Mounds View Fire Marshal and receipt of the Certificate of Liability Insurance.
