To Approve the Consent Agenda as amended. 8 <br /> 9 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 10 <br /> 11 <br />B. Resolution 6869, Authorization to Enter into a Grant Agreement with the 12 <br />Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety Safe and 13 <br />Sober project 14 <br /> 15 <br />Councilmember Gunn stated she would like to thank the Police Department for the Safe and 16 <br />Sober Campaign. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Mayor Marty explained how the grant worked. 19 <br /> 20 <br />MOTION/SECOND: THOMAS/FLAHERTY. To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 21 <br />6869, Authorization to Enter into a Grant Agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public 22 <br />Safety, Office of Traffic Safety Safe and Sober project. 23 <br /> 24 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 25 <br /> 26 <br />E. Resolution 6873 Awarding a Construction Contract for the Silver Lake Road 27 <br />Sidewalk Improvement Project 28 <br /> 29 <br />Mayor Marty pointed out that the low bid was _______ to _______ and that the engineers’ 30 <br />estimates were $588,000. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Consulting Engineer Rhein stated that five came in lower, two came in higher. He stated there 33 <br />was a very good price for concrete and the contractor specialized in concrete sidewalks. He 34 <br />stated that they checked references for the company and received excellent references. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Mayor Marty stated that the project is scheduled to begin on July 24 and will be completed in 37 <br />October. 38 <br /> 39 <br />MOTION/SECOND: MARTY/THOMAS. To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6873 40 <br />Awarding a Construction Contract for the Silver Lake Road Sidewalk Improvement Project . 41 <br /> 42 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 43 <br /> 44
