Mounds View City Council August 28, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 22 <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer stated that presently, it is budgeted for the EDA fund and that he suggests 1 <br />using TIF from district one for funding. Councilmember Flaherty suggested the resolution be 2 <br />amended as such. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Mayor Marty asked about whom the subcommittee is made up of. Director Lee noted who was 5 <br />on the committee. Mayor Marty asked to add Rick Wriskey as a prime consultant. 6 <br /> 7 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 8 <br /> 9 <br />M. Resolution 6931 Approving Change Order No. 35 for the City Hall 10 <br />Rehabilitation Project 11 <br /> 12 <br />Director Lee noted that Change Order #5 was presented on June 26, and at that time the 13 <br />estimated cost was $17,612, and the total now has gone down to $11,331. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Councilmember Stigney asked what the final estimate is for the City Hall. Lee stated that this 16 <br />was included in the report and the actual cost of the change orders went down from what was 17 <br />approved on June 26th, but the total went up because of the approval of the furniture at the last 18 <br />meeting. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Director Lee stated the total for the rehab project was $1,543,194. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Councilmember Flaherty asked if this is the last change order. Director Lee stated there are four 23 <br />items left. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Councilmember Stigney asked if the automated door opener is included. Director Lee responded 26 <br />that it was included in the estimate. 27 <br /> 28 <br />MOTION/SECOND: THOMAS/FLAHERTY. To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6931 29 <br />Approving Change Order No. 35 for the City Hall Rehabilitation Project. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Mayor Marty asked about the addition of building address. He asked what happened to the old 32 <br />address. Councilmember Thomas and Councilmember Gunn stated there were not numbers on 33 <br />the hall previously. City Administrator Ulrich stated there were letters before the atrium was 34 <br />added, but they have been gone for a while. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Mayor Marty asked about fixing the wall in the interview room. Director Lee stated the expense 37 <br />was for fixing the wall and adding carpet in the interview room at the police department. 38 <br />Councilmember Flaherty clarified that it was to cut the echo out of the room during interviews. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Councilmember Stigney asked about ASI57 and if there is currently lettering. Director Lee 41 <br />stated it is inside the building. Councilmember Stigney asked if none of the cost is for the outside 42 <br />lettering. Director Lee stated the City is still working with the consultant on that and the City 43 <br />will not be paying for the letters outside. 44 <br /> 45
