SCORE Grant 28 <br /> 29 <br />Council Member Stigney said that there are state funds available for the benches and he would 30 <br />like to see what is obtained through the state before spending the City’s money. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Director Ericson explained that the City would not be spending money on park benches just 33 <br />reallocating the money received through the SCORE Grant. 34 <br /> 35 <br />City Administrator Ulrich clarified that the City would be paying for the difference in price from 36 <br />a regular bench to a recycled materials bench and the informational plaque explaining the bench 37 <br />and the materials involved. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Council Member Stigney said that he does not think that the City should be using its funds prior 40 <br />to using other funds if possible. 41 <br /> 42 <br />City Administrator Ulrich indicated that the funds are limited in terms of what they can be used 43 <br />for and that is for items relating to education and recycling and this is an idea that Staff came up 44 <br />with to meet the deadline date for the Grant. 45
