Mounds View City Council November 13, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 15 <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Gunn. To Approve the Executive Session Minutes of October 23, 1 <br />2006 as Amended. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Amend the Minutes to reflect that Council Member Flaherty was not present. 4 <br /> 5 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council Member Flaherty abstained from voting. 8 <br /> 9 <br />B. City Council Minutes October 23, 2006 10 <br /> 11 <br />Mayor Marty requested the following changes: On Page 8, Line 17 correct somehow to one 12 <br />word. On Page 10, Line 6 correct the Florida reference and add a Line 8 that Mayor Marty 13 <br />indicated that he would like the first person taken off of this Resolution. On Page 11, Line 38 14 <br />last word correct to town. 15 <br /> 16 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Approve the October 23, 2006 City Council meeting 17 <br />minutes as corrected. 18 <br /> 19 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 20 <br /> 21 <br />11. REPORTS 22 <br /> 23 <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council 24 <br /> 25 <br />Mayor Marty reported that in looking over election results in the Star Tribune he noticed Lino 26 <br />Lakes’ election results on Wednesday stated a charter amendment was passed to prohibit council 27 <br />members from serving on charter commissions. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Mayor Marty reported that in the Star Tribune they had listed two suburbs and Dakota County 30 <br />that voted to approve money to preserve open space and those were Eden Prairie and Greenfield. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Mayor Marty reported that a couple of nights ago he attended the Irondale Youth Football 33 <br />Banquet at the banquet facility and after the banquet was over they asked residents and parents to 34 <br />help clean up. Lots of people pitched in and they went to get a vacuum cleaner and found that 35 <br />there is one household type vacuum for the entire Community Center in the banquet area and he 36 <br />asked Marta if there were any more and there are not. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Council Member Gunn indicated that they approved two more vacuum cleaners at the meeting 39 <br />today. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Mayor Marty reported that at the end of the election in talking with Mayor Steve Larson from 42 <br />New Brighton he learned that the City of New Brighton has for years brought voting equipment 43 <br />to all their senior housing buildings the week before the election to allow their seniors the 44
