Consent Agenda, <br /> Motion/Second: Blanchard/Paone to approve the consent - <br /> agenda, minus Item C, and waive the reading of the <br /> resolutions. <br /> 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> Mayor Hankner explained that last January direction was <br /> given to Staff to take a close look .at the Park and <br /> Rec Department and determine needs, and give a <br /> recommendation to the Council on staffing needs. How- <br /> ever, that analysis has not been done. The contract <br /> for the athletic coordinator was approved for one year <br /> while needs were being addressed. This extension of <br /> the contract would go to December 31, 1990 and would <br /> not guarantee employment beyond that date. This will • <br /> be addressed further during the budgeting process. <br /> Acting Clerk/Administrator Minetor explained the <br /> staffing analysis will be included in the budgeting <br /> process. <br /> Motion/Second: Wuori/Blanchard to approve the exten- <br /> sion of the contract for Marvin Johnson, Jr. to the <br /> end of the fiscal year, December 31, 1990 as athletic • <br /> coordinator. <br /> • <br /> 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> Mayor Hankner advised an item had been left off the 7. Presentation by <br /> agenda, concerning the selection process for a new Sathe & Asso- <br /> Clerk/Administrator. ciates, Inc. <br /> Jim Brimeyer, of Sathe & Associates, Inc. , reviewed <br /> his background, and that of his firm, and their <br /> experience in the search process. He also explained <br /> how the search is conducted, and the procedure <br /> followed. <br /> Mayor Hankner stated with the election coming up, she <br /> and the Council want to involve all candidates and <br /> asked what Mr. Brimeyer would recommend. <br /> Mr. Brimeyer stated he would want to talk to all <br /> candidates for office, and then involve those who <br /> win directly after the elections. <br /> Mayor Hankner stated this had been reviewed briefly <br /> at the last agenda session, and she is familiar with • <br /> Sathe and Associates and is very comfortable using <br /> them. <br />
