V3bum
•
MEMORANDUM
Memo To :Mayor and Council Members
From :Ric Minetor, City Engineer/Director of Public Works
.4 °*Date :August 1, 1990 ,
Subject :Wetland Alteration Permit for 2201 Bronson
Joanne Perry applied for building permits for decks on the front
and rear of her home at 2201 Bronson Drive. The front deck was
not a problem and a permit has been issued. The rear deck would
encroach into the wetland buffer zone. Ms. Perry inquired as to
what could be done to expedite the process. I explained that I
would prepare a memo for the August 6th agenda session to begin
the process for this wetland alteration permit.
The Council has the right to waive strict compliance with the
ordinance in the case of single family residences. I believe this
allows the Council to determine what is needed to review the
application and whether or not a public hearing is necessary.
• If the Council deems a public hearing to be appropriate, this
hearing could be held on August 13th: If the Council determines
that it is appropriate to waive a public hearing in this case,
the permit could be approved on the consent agenda or the
applicant could be exempted from the requirement for a permit.
•
