MORTON ctx•IFito toll A'ATTOnp;Y <br /> ORASTRE <br /> TOGO of Ccun2st <br /> March 21, 1990 <br /> Michelle Hien <br /> City of Mounds View <br /> 2401 Highway 10 <br /> Mounds View, Dpi 55112 <br /> Re: City Ordinances regarding pet store <br /> Dear Michelle <br /> I've reviewed again the City ordinances regarding the pet <br /> store in a 8--2 zone and the pet grooming facility. <br /> It is my understanding that the ordinance which was passed <br /> regarding pet stores contemplated additional uses such as a retail <br /> sales of pet supplies, grooming and other uses in the B-2 zone. <br /> However, the ordinance was not broadly written in that fashion. <br /> It is my understanding that the ordinance is going to be <br /> rewritten in the near future to allow for all of these additional <br /> uses associated with pet stores, including but not limited to, the <br /> proposed facility for teaching pet grooming. <br /> Based upon the fact that a wider use was contemplated under <br /> the ordinance and that the ordinance will be changed to reflect <br /> that contemplated uaa, I believe we can approve the conditional use <br /> permit of the facility without the need for changing the ordinance <br /> at this time. Rather, I believe that the ordinance we currently <br /> have is only temporary in nature and I have been assured that the <br /> ordinance will change to reflect the intended uses in a 5-2 zone <br /> to include this type of facility.
