He stated he was against lights as they <br /> encourage kids to stay out late. <br /> Mr. Fagerstrom reviewed the area that is suggested <br /> for lighting. He added that recommendation has not <br /> been incorporated in the plan. <br /> Dave Long, of the Park and Rec Commission and task <br /> force, explained discussions to date have been <br /> against having lights. <br /> Debbie Jones, no address given, stated it would <br /> violate the concept for the park to have lights, <br /> as they would infringe on other areas. <br /> Councilmember Quick questioned if the residents were <br /> against all lighting, even security lighting. <br /> • Mr. Linke stated he lives near Greenfield Park, <br /> and security lighting has helped that area since it <br /> was put in. <br /> Dave Latko, no address given, stated he felt there <br /> should be security lights, and they would be helpful <br /> to_protect the investment. <br /> Dave Radermacher, of the task force, reviewed the <br /> discussion the task force had had on the lighting <br /> issue. <br /> u ,„ • . • - - . . _ ' . - . e - .. • - •- •• _me n t favors <br /> lights, which enable officers to see into the parks <br /> as they drive by. <br /> Frank Thomas, of Lake Court Drive, questioned <br /> whether a survey had been done of handicapped <br /> people or how many people would use a blacktopped <br /> surface. He stated he felt it would be appropriate <br /> to do so. <br /> Mr. Fagerstrom replied a survey had not been done. <br /> Mr. Radermacher made suggested changes to page 67 <br /> of the full report, to have it more accurately <br /> reflect the discussions he felt took place. <br />
