3. We recommend that the AMM reject any requests that it give up the ex officio <br /> seat on the LMC Board. The Task Force feels strongly that we have lived up <br /> to the guidelines and spirit under which we are an affiliate organization <br /> . (i .e. not taking contrary lobbying positions). <br /> 4. We recommend that, as long as possible, the AMM offices remain in the LMC <br /> building. We feel that to move from the building would undermine much of <br /> the cooperative working relationship that exists between the staffs of the <br /> two organizations. It would also be expensive for the AMM to acquire the <br /> overhead and support services that it currently purchases from LMC. <br /> However, expansion of the AMM staff may make a move from the existing LMC <br /> building unavoidable. <br /> 5. We recommend that the AMM Board and Membership focus its agenda by refer- <br /> ring more of the non-divisive statewide issues to the LMC for lobbying <br /> on behalf of all member cities, both metropolitan and Greater Minnesota. <br /> • <br /> • <br /> - 4 - <br />
