,A0'4° <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> Memo To :Mayor and Council Members <br /> From :Ric Minetor, City Engineer/Director of Public Works <br /> Date :May 30, 1990 <br /> Subject :Bona - Edgewood Pathway <br /> I have recently discussed the condition of the fencing along this <br /> pathway with Mrs.. French and Mrs. Miller. They have agreed that <br /> a replacement fence should be a chain link fence. They are <br /> willing to allow the City to place the replacement fence on their <br /> property in order to obtain the minimum 8 foot width (the current <br /> easement is only 6 feet in width) and they are also willing to <br /> accept maintenance responsibilities in the future for this fence. <br /> However, they would like to have the City also install a north- <br /> south fence between their backyards at the same time. They feel <br /> this is necessary to stop children from walking along their <br /> southerly property line instead of using the path. The cost of <br /> this additional fence would be approximately $500. <br /> • Below is a breakdown of the project cost: <br /> Remove and replace fence $1,800 <br /> Refabric northerly fence 900 <br /> Property line fence 500 <br /> Repave pathway 1,000 <br /> Total $4,200 <br /> The costs could be charged to the Silver Lake Woods Improvements <br /> account. <br /> Staff is asking for Council direction regarding this project. <br />
