<br /> <br />Item No. 04B <br />Type of Business: WK <br />WK: Work Session; PH: Public Hearing; <br />CA: Consent Agenda; CB: Council Business <br />City Administrator Review _______ City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Desaree Crane, Administrative Assistant to <br />Administration <br /> <br />Item Title/Subject: Closing City Hall on May 5, 2006 at 12noon to move from <br />the Mounds View Community Center to Mounds View <br />City Hall <br /> <br /> <br />Professional movers are scheduled to move all furniture, files, boxes, and equipment on <br />Saturday, May 6th. Staff recommends that consideration be given to closing the City Hall <br />building on the Friday before (May 5, 2006) starting at 12noon due to the need to have <br />everything prepared and ready for the movers on Saturday. This will minimize potential <br />overtime, and avoid disruptions and hazardous situations due to the move. <br />The closing of City Hall will be announced on the City’s Voice Mail system, on Cable Television, <br />the Mounds View Website and posted at the front door of the Mounds View Community Center. <br />In addition, a press release will be forwarded to all newspapers and news agencies to announce <br />the move back to the new City Hall facility, to include the announcement of closing City Hall on <br />May 5, 2006 at 12noon. <br /> <br />If the City Council is in agreement, then Staff will prepare a Resolution to authorize closing of <br />City Hall on Friday, May 5, 2006 starting at 12noon.
