Item No. 5D <br />Meeting Date: November 6, 2006 <br />Type of Business: WK <br />WK: Work Session; PH: Public Hearing; <br />CA: Consent Agenda; CB: Council Business <br />City Administrator Review _______ <br /> City of Mounds View Staff Report <br /> <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Greg Lee, Director of Public Works <br /> <br />Item Title/Subject: Introduction of the 2007 / 2008 Street and Utility <br />Improvement Project Red Oak Drive Traffic Report <br /> <br />Background: <br />On May 22, 2006, the City Council selected an area to study and authorized the <br />preparation of a preliminary report for the 2007-2008 Street and Utility <br />Improvement Project. <br /> <br />On June 26, 2006, the City Council authorized the following items to be studied <br />as part of the feasibility report authorized on May 22, 2006 for the Street and <br />Utility Improvement Program: <br /> <br />1. The street design option that was implemented in 2004, which included <br />concrete curb and gutter. <br /> <br />2. Trailways as indicated in the City’s Comprehensive Trailway Plan. <br /> <br />3. Mailbox grouping as required by City Code. <br /> <br />4. Follow the County Road 10 Corridor Improvement Plan adopted in <br />August of 2002, by indicating the elimination of the Hillview / Fairchild <br />street access onto County Road 10 as part of the feasibility report. <br /> <br />5. Include Sherwood Road: Segments between Long Lake Road and <br />Edgewood Drive only if property owners indicate a desire to be <br />included in the study via popular vote. <br /> <br />6.
