She stated, however, since there is an existing <br /> driveway, it would be considered to be in compliance <br /> and nothing further would be required. <br /> The Planning Commission discussed changing the requirements <br /> for improved surfaces when the Code is next updated. <br /> Mr. Leguil explained his existing driveway is a mixture of <br /> "'many different things and he is concerned that in the <br /> near future he would be told to improve it. <br /> City Planner Herman explained the building inspector has <br /> clarified gravel is acceptable, which is allowed by Code. <br /> She stated, though, that in doing an inspection of the <br /> garage, the building inspector might look at the mixture <br /> of the driveway and determine that it does need improvement. <br /> She stated she would discuss this with the inspector and <br /> get back to Mr. Leguil . <br /> Chairman Mountin explained the application would go on to <br /> the City Council, who would set a public hearing. She <br /> stated that if there are no problems, it should be approved <br /> the second Monday in October, after the public hearing. <br /> City Planner Herman reported the owner of the property 7 . Staff Report <br /> at 7980 Crove.land Road had tried at one time to get that <br /> piece of property rezoned for a barber shop, and was denied <br /> by the Planning Commission. She stated the owner has <br /> contacted her and is again interested in pursuing the <br /> rezoning. <br /> There was discussion among the Commissioners of their plans <br /> for this area. City Planner Herman stated the Comp Plan <br /> for <br /> be clear, and the Planning Commission should decide <br /> now just what they want to do there and see that the Comp <br /> Plan reads accordingly. <br />
