MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 243-89 • CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF DEVELOPMENT STAGE PLANS FOR SYSCO/CONTINENTAL MINNESOTA PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT, MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING CASE NO. 253-88 WHEREAS, Ryan Construction has submitted development stage plans for the SYSCO/Continental Minnesota Planned Unit Develop- ment (P.U.D. ) ; and WHEREAS, a development review was conducted by City Staff which resulted in the findings that the plans are consistent with the previously approved general concept plans; and WHEREAS, there are issues left to be resolved before final approval; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommends that the plantings along the southwest edge of the site be located on the outside of the security fence, thereby, necessitating plantings located on the MnDOT property; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommends the addition of a skimmer to be located between the storm water ponds; and • WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommends the addition of five planting islands to be located within the presently proposed parking lot ; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommends additional landscaping be located within the future parking expansion area at the eastern edge of the site; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission encourages the restora- tion of the northwest corner to as natural state as possible; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the Develop- ment Stage Plans and found them to be consistent with the previously approved General Concept Plans. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commis- sion of the City of Mounds View recommends approval of the Development Stage Plans for the SYSCO/Minnesota P.U.D. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission directs Staff to forward this resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minutes. Adopted this 1st day of February, 1989.
