Mounds View Planning Commission March 21, 1990 <br /> Regular Meeting Page Four <br /> • Chair Mountin reminded the Planning Commission the <br /> issues raised must be addressed with reference to the <br /> Comp Plan, and they must establish a policy statement, <br /> and are not in a position to recommend a plan. <br /> It was noted a community of four square miles does <br /> not have to give access to every person at every <br /> point . <br /> Commissioner Colleen left the meeting at 10:44 PM. <br /> The Planning Commission ranked issues they felt need <br /> to be addressed, as A and B issues . The A issues <br /> are the safety of all pedestrians, drivers and <br /> emergency vehicles, and to maintain the character <br /> of low density single family residential areas. B <br /> issues include limiting access to and from the north <br /> part of the City, strategically locating access <br /> points, minimizing impact while maximizing access <br /> for Mounds View residents, preserving the existing <br /> traffic patterns, and minimizing negative environ- <br /> mental impact . <br /> Commissioner Dian left the meeting at 10:58 PM. <br /> Motion/Second: Jones/Zollner to continue the <br /> • meeting for another 15 minutes . <br /> 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> Motion/Second: Burgers/Zollner that the issues <br /> identified are the goals the Planning Commission <br /> feels should be met in any decision making process <br /> of the Council for new Highway 610. <br /> 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> There being no further formal business before 7.
