MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 409-95 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> III COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW 14 CATS AT <br /> 8242 GREENWOOD DRIVE, PLANNING CASE NO. 404-94 <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission has reviewed the <br /> request of Reginald and Sharon Nelson for a variance to allow the present 14 cats on <br /> their residential property located at 8242 Greenwood Drive; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Municipal Code allows up to four (4) cats on a <br /> residential property; and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant has submitted a letter of hardship outlining the <br /> need for the variance due to all 14 cats being exposed to the Feline Infectious <br /> Peritonitis (FIP); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the criteria used to <br /> evaluate all variance requests; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that exceptional <br /> • circumstances apply to the property which do not apply generally to other properties in <br /> the vicinity and result from circumstances over which the owners of the property have <br /> had no control. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View <br /> Planning Commission approves the request of Reginald and Sharon Nelson for a <br /> variance to allow the present 14 cats on their residential property contingent upon the <br /> following: <br /> 1) The cats shall be kept inside the principal <br /> structure on the property at all times. <br /> 2) The cat waste be placed in plastic bags and disposed of with the <br /> everyday household waste. <br /> 3) The owner shall notify the City upon death of all 14 cats exposed to <br /> the Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) virus. <br /> Adopted this 4th day of January, 1995. <br /> A'1'1'hST: (� <br /> _ .t w,,�. <br /> Chairm:", <br /> • (SEAL) <br /> I, II unity Devel• =ment Coordinator <br />
