Building heights are mislabeled on the latest submission for the proposed <br /> Holiday Stationstore. These inaccuracies will also be corrected prior to <br /> City Council action. <br /> 4. Relevant details for the canopy that shows height, materials and proposed <br /> signing was presented to the Commission at the November 19, 1997 <br /> meeting. <br /> 5. The site plan indicates the required 30-foot set back for the parking lot but <br /> there are labels with the plan that show a 10' dimension. These <br /> inaccuracies will be corrected by the applicant. <br /> 6. A revised landscape plan has been submitted showing the required plant <br /> material information, and the applicant will provide a"plant material to be <br /> maintained" label for the areas shown as existing vegetation. The City <br /> • Forester has reviewed the plan and has recommended three changes to <br /> species. These changes are as follows: <br /> a. Niobe Weeping Willow will be replaced with River Birch. <br /> b. The Chuckles shrub rose will be replaced with Nearly Wild shrub <br /> rose. <br /> c. The Red Barron crab will be replaced with Red Splendor, Spring <br /> snow, Snow- drift and Pink Spires. <br /> Commissioner Brasaemle expressed his concern that the birch would be susceptible to <br /> birch borcr. <br /> Planner Peters told the Commission that the river birch were selected because of their <br /> natural immunity to the birch bore. <br /> Commissioner Johnston inquired about the City having an easement inside the buffer <br /> area in order to properly maintain the vegetation. <br /> Planner Peters told the Commission that the easement would be unnecessary as long as it <br /> is stated on the PUD plan that the area will be maintained by the City. <br /> Planner Peters continued: <br /> • <br />
