Ms. Johnson stated that she <br /> believed it would be located at the narrows of the pond. <br /> Chair Peterson stated that the paving would be a benefit to the neighborhood and would help <br /> encourage a higher standard of maintenance which was in the best interest of the park. <br /> Commissioner Johnson stated that he agreed. <br /> Kaden stated that eleven community members had attended and shown their support for the project. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Laube/Hegland to support utilizing park dedication funds to pave the <br /> remainder of the trail that surrounds Silverview Pond. <br /> Ayes— 9 Nays —0 The motion carried. <br /> B. Previous Council Action <br /> • Community Development Director Jopke reported on City Council action from their meeting on May <br /> 24. He stated that there were presentations of certificates for the Girl Scout Award recipients and <br /> a Resolution of Commendation was presented to retired firefighter, Timothy C. Hawley. He stated <br /> that discussion was held in regard to an additional franchise agreement for Reliant <br /> Energy/Minnegasco, who were requesting to conduct business within the City of Mounds View. <br /> Jopke stated that at the EDA meeting, a public hearing was held for the sale of property located at <br /> 6991 Pleasant View Drive to Marquis Builders, Inc. He stated that this property had been purchased <br /> by the City for future redevelopment. He stated that the City had expressed the desire to purchase <br /> the property located at 2225 Hillview Road for participation in the Housing Redevelopment Program, <br /> and they were exploring the possibility of using CDRG or Habitat for Humanity funding to proceed <br /> with the redevelopment project. <br /> Jopke stated he will be out of town next Wednesday and asked that the study session be canceled. <br /> Ericson indicated that public hearing notices had been sent to the Focus Newspaper for publication <br /> regarding the Merryville Farm Market CUP. He also stated that on the next Planning Commission <br /> agenda would be Merryville CUP, a minor subdivision for property located at 7690/7692 Silver Lake <br /> Road and a development review for Juaire's second fourplex on Woodlawn Drive. <br /> 410 <br />
