Community Development Director Jopke advised that the ordinance has been reviewed by <br /> the City Attorney's Office, and approved, as to form and findings. <br /> Commissioner Stevenson inquired who had drafted the ordinance. <br /> Community Development Director Jopke stated he drafted Ordinance 644. <br /> Commissioner Miller inquired regarding the standing of the ordinance at this time. <br /> Community Development Director Jopke explained that the review of this matter was currently <br /> before the Planning Commission, and their recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council. <br /> Commissioner Stevenson inquired who had directed Community Development Director Jopke to draft <br /> Ordinance 644. <br /> Community Development Director Jopke explained that the City Council directed the Planning <br /> Commission to review the issue, and the Planning Commission indicated there should be a specific <br /> ordinance for public review, and that this consideration should involve the public hearing process. <br /> He indicated staff drafted this particular ordinance, which has been discussed by the Planning <br /> Commission, however, has not come before the City Council. He stated the ordinance would be <br /> brought forward to the Council, along with the recommendation of the Planning Commission. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Johnson/Laube. To Approve Resolution No. 597-99, a Resolution <br /> Recommending City Council Denial of Ordinance No. 644; an Ordinance Amending Chapter 1008 <br /> (Signs and Billboards) of the Mounds View Municipal Code Pertaining to Billboards; Planning Case <br /> No. SP-071-99. <br /> Ayes— 8 Nays—0 The motion carried. <br /> 9.
