410 MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> FROM: PAUL HARRINGTON, PLANNER <br /> DATE: April 15, 1994 <br /> SUBJECT: CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT/VARIANCE REQUEST <br /> MICHAEL HEGLAND, 7604 SPRING LAKE ROAD <br /> At the March 16, 1994 Planning Commission Meeting, Michael Hegland, <br /> 7604 Spring Lake Road, made application for a Conditional Use <br /> Permit/Variance to allow the utilization of an existing 528 square <br /> foot building located on his property as an accessory building <br /> following the construction of a new, attached garage. The existing <br /> building is currently utilized as the principal garage on the site. <br /> Following discussion at the March meeting, the Planning Commission <br /> requested that the applicant explore all other available options <br /> for the construction of a garage on his site and, provide the <br /> Commission with a written statement of hardship. The applicant <br /> • provided the requested statement and Staff has included a copy for <br /> your review. When reviewing the case, please bear in mind that the <br /> statement of hardship must meet the intent of the criteria for <br /> granting a variance as outlined in Title 1100, Chapter 1125 . 02 <br /> Subdivision 2 of the Municipal Code. <br /> If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give me a <br /> call . <br /> • <br />
