1008.08 1008.08 <br /> shall be unlawful to locate or maintain any such sign or bannering for a <br /> longer period or in a different manner than that specified in the permit. <br /> No such permit shall be granted, however, where such temporary signs, <br /> banners or portable signs are prohibited by other provisions of this Code. <br /> f. No portable sign or temporary sign shall exceed thirty two (32) square <br /> feet on each side. <br /> g. No portable sign, temporary sign or banner shall be located on any <br /> property in the City for more than twenty one (21) days at one time or for <br /> more than three (3) twenty one (21) day periods on any one year. <br /> h. The Council may allow administrative approval of sign installation for <br /> signs of identical design being installed by a business or individual. Once <br /> Council approval has been obtained for a particular sign design, the <br /> applicant may receive administrative permits for the installation of such <br /> sign from the Clerk-Administrator following submittal of all relevant <br /> information as outlined in Section 1008.03 of this Chapter and receipt of <br /> applicable fees. <br /> Subd. 10. Billboards: A permit shall not be issued for any new billboard or <br /> advertising sign located off the premises where the advertised product is <br /> sold if such billboard or sign would be within three hundred feet (300') of <br /> any other such billboard or sign already in existence. Any billboard <br /> destroyed by an act of God may be rebuilt within thirty (30) days if the <br /> construction of same would comply with this subdivision. <br /> Subd. 11. Campaign Signs: The following regulations shall apply to all <br /> campaign signs for political candidates or issues: <br /> a. No more than one sign shall be erected per candidate or issue along <br /> each street frontage of any parcel of land. <br /> b. Campaign signs shall not exceed twelve (12) square feet and not <br /> exceed four feet (4') in height above the ground; except, where such signs <br /> are located no closer than one hundred fifty feet (150') to the property <br /> line of a residential dwelling, the maximum size shall be thirty two (32) <br /> square feet, and the maximum height above the ground shall be six teet <br /> (6'). <br /> c. Campaign signs may be displayed from the last day of candidacy filing <br /> or thirty (30) days before an election, whichever is earlier. <br /> d. All campaign signs must be removed no later than five (5) days after <br /> an election; except, that after a primary election, signs for the winning <br /> primary candidates need not be removed until after the ensuing general <br /> election.
