1008.08 1008.08 <br /> manner as not to cause damage to the building or structure on which such <br /> sign is placed. <br /> e.,No roof sign shall be more than sixty five feet (65') in length, nor shall • <br /> it xtend more than twenty five feet (25') above the surface of the roof of <br /> the building on which it is located. No roof sign shall extend more than <br /> forty five feet (45') above the average ground level of that part of the <br /> street toward which it faces. <br /> Subd. 8. Wall Signs: The following standards shall be maintained for all wall <br /> signs: <br /> a. No wall sign shall have a projection over a private sidewalk or an <br /> established building line of more than twelve inches (12"). <br /> b. The materials, construction and attachment of any such sign shall meet <br /> the same standards and requirements as roof signs. <br /> Subd. 9. Banners, Temporary or Portable Signs: Temporary signs, as defined in <br /> Section 1008.01 of this Chapter shall comply with the provisions of <br /> hereof. The following standards shall be maintained for all banners, <br /> temporary or portable signs: <br /> a. Temporary signs and banners attached to any building constructed of <br /> canvass, plastic material, cloth or other material with or without <br /> framework, shall be strongly constructed and shall be securely attached to <br /> their supports. They shall be removed (including all framework and <br /> supports) as soon as damaged or torn and in no case later than twenty one111 <br /> (21) days after erection. <br /> b. Banners and temporary signs shall not be larger than one hundred <br /> twenty (120) square feet in area for each twenty feet (20') of building <br /> frontage. There shall not be more than one temporary sign on any <br /> building frontage. <br /> c. No banner or temporary signs shall project over public property or <br /> right of way but may extend a maximum of six inches (6") from the face <br /> of the building. <br /> d. Banners and temporary signs shall not be hung so as to cover, either <br /> partially or completely, any door, window or opening required for <br /> ventilation. <br /> e. No temporary sign, banner or portable sign shall be located on any <br /> multiple residence, commercial or industrial property in the City without <br /> first obtaining a permit therefor from the City. If the City determines to <br /> grant an application for a permit for any such temporary sign, banner or <br /> portable sign, it may impose conditions upon the granting thereof, and it <br /> 411/ <br /> City of Mounds View <br />
