(v) The maximum height of the sign structure shall be <br /> twenty-eight (28) feet above finished grade. <br /> 410 <br /> Architectural design details, similar to the design of <br /> the principle building, may extend five (5) feet above <br /> the maximum height (28 feet) of the sign. Sign area <br /> shall not exceed 180 square feet per side of the sign <br /> (two sides maximum) . <br /> (vi) All signage shall have individual, internal backlit <br /> letters and symbols. Additional sign lighting may be <br /> ground lighting, the source of which is concealed from <br /> view. <br /> (vii) Landscaping plans for the area around the base of the <br /> sign shall be completed and reviewed as part of the <br /> conditional use permit/site plan approval process. <br /> (f) Area identification sign: Area identification sign(s) shall be <br /> located in the following manner: <br /> (1) Area identification sign(s) shall be located upon the property <br /> of the complex it is identifying. <br /> (2) Area identification sign(s) shall be located along a public <br /> street frontage. <br /> (3) Area identification signs shall be located a minimum of fifty 110 <br /> (50) feet apart from any other area identification sign or <br /> pylon sign. <br /> (4) No more than one area identification sign for a particular <br /> complex shall be located along the same street frontage. <br /> (g) Gasoline pump island signs: <br /> 1 Gaso "ne .um. " a.. - .•• .< - . . 11 <br /> signs in addition to those otherwise permitted on the <br /> principal structure. <br /> (2) Canopy signs shall not exceed 10 feet in length or 20 square <br /> feet each and shall not be placed on the same side of the <br /> canopy. <br /> (3) Lettering on the signs shall not exceed two (2) feet in height <br /> or the average height of the letters on the sign attached to <br /> the principal structure, whichever is less. <br /> (4) Canopy signs shall be placed in a manner that will allow a six <br /> inch (6") minimum border between the top, bottom, and sides <br /> of a canopy face. The sign area is determined by measuring <br /> the text only. Stripes or colors do not contribute to the <br /> sign area computation. <br /> 16 5-13-93 <br />
