(f) Open house, garage sale, and for sale signs shall not be placed on410 <br /> the following described street rights-of-way, easements, roadway surface, <br /> sidewalks, medians and decorative surfaces. Any sign so placed is hereby <br /> determined to be in violation of the sign regulations, a nuisance and a <br /> traffic hazard: <br /> Cedar Avenue - from 147th Street West to 153rd Street West. <br /> Galaxie Avenue - from 147th Street West to 153rd Street West. <br /> Pennock Avenue - from 147th Street West to 153rd Street West. <br /> County Road #42- from Galaxie Avenue to Pennock Avenue. <br /> 147th Street W. - from Galaxie Avenue to Pennock Avenue. <br /> 153rd Street W. - from Galaxie Avenue to Pennock Avenue. <br /> (g) Advertising or billboard signs; prohibited: There shall be no <br /> permanent or temporary signs which direct attention to a business , commodity, <br /> service or entertainment conducted, sold or offered elsewhere than on the <br /> premises. <br /> 6-107. Performance Standards. <br /> (a) Lighting regulations: <br /> (1) All illuminated signs shall have an indirect or diffused light <br /> source and be designed so as not to direct rays of light onto <br /> 410 <br /> public streets or adjacent property, thereby creating a <br /> nuisance or safety hazard. <br /> (2) There shall be no flashing signs permitted in any district. <br /> (3) No illuminated sign which changes in either color or intensity <br /> of light shall be permitted except one giving public service <br /> information. <br /> (4) Lighted revolving signs shall be permitted, but the bottom of <br /> the sign surface shall be a minimum of twelve (19) feet above <br /> the street grade and a minimum of one hundred (100) feet from <br /> the center of any public street intersection. <br /> (b) Changeable copy - A maximum of two-thirds (2/3) of the total area <br /> allowed for a freestanding sign may be used for changeable copy. <br /> (c) Placement of signs on driveway island or entrance - No permanent <br /> or temporary sign shall be located upon a driveway median for a distance of <br /> a minimum of thirty (30) feet from a public street right-of-way. <br /> (d) Change of sign message - Upon any change or replacement, the sign <br /> will constitute a new sign, requiring a new initial fee, and issuance of a <br /> new permit. If the sign does not exceed the size requirement as provided in <br /> this ordinance and the change is in content only, an application and drawings <br /> must be submitted, but the fee will not be required. 1111 <br /> 18 5-13-93 <br />
