PLANNING CASE NO. 452-96 •
JULY 24, 1996
PAGE SIX OF SIX
building with no landscaping as a buffer. The building will
look like it is sitting on a parking lot. Staff establishes that
following a precursory look at this request, the lot appears to
be too small for the land use proposed. All of the
preliminary issues will need to be revisited and addressed
completely before it would be appropriate for Planning
Commission to make formal recommendation to City
Council.
In addition to formally tabling this item, it would also be
pertinent to inform the applicant of the Planning
Commission's concern with a proposal of this size for this
half acre parcel.
If this item were tabled to the next regular Planning
Commission meeting available for decision, the date for
making a recommendation to City Council would be
September 4, 1996. •
Staff discussed with the applicant that the Planning
Commission may wish to consider calling to order at the
August 21, 1996 Agenda Meeting to make a
recommendation to the City Council on this item. The
applicant has been informed that a speaker is scheduled for
the August 21, 1996 Agenda meeting and that this item may
not be heard until later in the evening, if the Planning
Commission would consider calling to order for the meeting.
If the Planning Commission does formally table this item at
the August 07,1996 meeting, Staff will prepare a notice to
the applicant informing them that an additional 60 days will
be required to process this application (as is required by
law).
•
