Public Works Quarterly Report. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Public Works Director Lee previously submitted a written report to the Council. He stated that 4 <br />the upcoming projects for 2005 are the 2005 Street Improvement Project, the Spring Creek 5 <br />Regional Pond Installation, the Silver Lake Road sidewalk, the County Road 10 Redevelopment 6 <br />and Revitalization Plan, the Groveland Park Building Replacement, and the City Hall 7 <br />Rehabilitation Project. He stated they would also continue to work on the sanitary sewer 8 <br />connection program. He stated they would be looking at the curb on H2 to see if there was 9 <br />anything they could do to make it safer. He stated there would be a Wells 3 and 5 Rehabilitation 10 <br />Project. He stated that the DNR would be installing a fishing pier within Lakeside Lions Park. 11 <br />He stated that staff is going to continue to work on a long-range street maintenance program. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Council Member Quick asked if the accelerated program would keep them ahead of the 14 <br />deterioration of the streets, and Public Works Director Lee stated that that was the intent. 15 <br /> 16 <br />C. Report of Mayor 21 <br /> 22 <br />Mayor Linke thanked the Council for making the last two year’s meetings enjoyable, and he 23 <br />stated that the two years had gone fast. He stated that they had had a fair and production 24 <br />discussion of the issues. He stated there is great staff at the City of Mounds View. He stated he 25 <br />felt the City Council had done a good job in some very tough economic times. Mayor Linke 26 <br />stated there had been tough decisions made regarding the street improvement project to bring the 27 <br />roads back to a stable and usable condition, and that for far too long the streets had been simply 28 <br />patched. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Mayor Linke thanked everyone for their friendship and support. 31 <br /> 32 <br />13.
