HYDRAULIC DRIVE SYSTEM: <br />The PTO shall be a Chelsea “hot shift”, with control on the stainless steel <br />operators control panel inside the chassis cab. The hydraulic pump shall be a <br />gear pump mounted under cab. The hydraulic motor shall be activated by a 12v <br />solenoid valve with switch on the operators control panel. There shall be a <br />chassis mounted hydraulic fluid reservoir with sight gauge, filter, and check <br />valve. A flow control shall be installed in the hydraulic system to allow variable <br />flow to the hydraulic motor, thereby allowing the operator a simple cab controlled <br />means to vary water pump discharge pressure. <br /> <br />DISCHARGE PLUMBING: <br />There shall be 6 street flusher nozzles with electric actuated valves, cab <br />controlled. Nozzles shall be located on each side out rear of vehicle, one near <br />center of driver and passenger sides, and one each side at the front of the <br />vehicle. Controls shall be located in chassis cab on operators control panel. All <br />plumbing to nozzles shall have provisions to completely drain. All intake and <br />discharge line drain valves shall be ¼ turn ball valves. All discharge valves shall <br />have (near valve head) a ¼” recirculation line. <br /> <br />TANK LEVEL GAUGE: <br />There shall be a water tank level gauge, 4-light MC products series 500. There <br />shall be a cab read-out and curbside fill read-out, easily visible from the <br />operators fill position. <br /> <br />LIGHTS AND WIRING: <br />All wiring shall be Truck-Lite or equal, and shall be sealed bulb type. Wiring to <br />the lights mounted on the tank shall be run through external steel conduit, formed <br />to the contour of the tank. DOT lighting shall meet or exceed state and federal <br />regulations. There shall be one rear warning strobe, Whelen 2012, mounted <br />near the top of the tank. Strobe switch on operators control panel in the cab. On <br />the rear shall be mounted a directional LED lightbar with integral outside warning <br />strobes and shall be located above the upper clearance light bracket. Controls <br />for the directional lightbar shall be located on the operators control panel inside <br />the cab. Combination stop/turn/tail lights mounted at the rear, with two additional <br />stop and turn lights mounted below the rear warning strobes near the top of the <br />tank. White back-up lights shall be mounted in a vertical plane with the lower <br />stop/turn/tail lights at the rear and shall be energized when the transmission is <br />placed in reverse with the ignition on. <br /> <br />FENDERS AND BUMPERS: <br />Over the rear wheels shall be single axle aluminum contour fenders with painted <br />steel mounting brackets. Above the single axle fenders shall be stainless steel <br />hose trays, full length of barrel shell with 8” side flanges. Trays shall be closed to <br />the front and open to the rear. At the rear of the vehicle shall be heavy-duty steel <br />platform bumper. <br /> <br />PAINTING:
