Mounds View City Council April 11, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br /> <br />6. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUISNESS 1 <br /> 2 <br />A. Results of the Community Survey (Presented by Decision Resources, Inc.) 3 <br /> 4 <br />Council Member Stigney stated that this was a phone survey that was handled by Decision 5 <br />Resources, who contacted 400 residents on an equal basis within each precinct. 6 <br /> 7 <br />A representative from Decision Resources stated that the survey by telephone took place during 8 <br />the first two and a half weeks of March, and the nonresponse rate was 4½ percent, and there was 9 <br />½ percent of people that terminated mid-survey. He stated the average time it took to complete 10 <br />the survey was 19 ½ minutes. He went through the survey questions and responses on a Power 11 <br />Point Presentation and had previously provided the Council with the written document. 12 <br /> 13 <br />7. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS.. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Council Member Flaherty asked what a bed knife is as listed on page 4 for $121. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Mary Berg stated that a bed knife is the base of a blade for a reel mower, and they are replaced all 18 <br />the time. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Acting Mayor Stigney asked what the battery on page 3, first item, was for. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Council Member Thomas stated she assumed it was for the defibulators. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Ms. Berg stated that it was for the golf course defibulator. She stated they last about three years. 25 <br /> 26 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Gunn/Thomas. To approve the Just and Correct Claims as Presented. 27 <br /> 28 <br /> Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. 29 <br /> 30 <br />8. CONSENT AGENDA 31 <br /> 32 <br />Council Member Flaherty asked to remove Item C. 33 <br /> 34 <br />A. Set a Public Hearing for April 25, 2005 at 7:05 pm to Consider a Conditional 35 <br />Use Permit for a Residential Kennel at 8370 Pleasant View Drive. 36 <br />B. Set a Public Hearing for April 25, 2005 at 7:10 pm to Consider a Conditional 37 <br />Use Permit for an Oversized Garage at 7965 Fairchild Avenue. 38 <br />C. Resolution 6494 Authorization to Purchase a Radar Speed Display Trailer 39 <br />from Decatur Electronics for $7450 utilizing forfeiture funds. 40 <br />D. Schedule an Executive Session immediately following this City Council 41 <br />Meeting to discuss Labor Contract Issues. 42 <br />E. Licenses for Approval. 43 <br />F. Resolution 6496 Designating the National Incident Management System 44 <br />(NIMS) as the Basis for All Incident Management in Mounds View. 45
