Resolution 6495 Setting a Public Hearing for Monday, April 25, 2005 at 7:15 3 <br />pm for the City Hall Rehabilitation Project. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Public Works Director Lee stated that this item is on Council business to make it known to the 6 <br />public that the City is interested in learning more about this proposed project, and there will be a 7 <br />Power Point presentation given on April 25th. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Acting Mayor Stigney asked if there were any questions for the Public Works Director. He asked 10 <br />whether this item was premature because the Council hadn’t established what they wanted to do. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Public Works Director Lee stated that the proposed project will be presented that evening. He 13 <br />stated that if they preferred they could do a proposal, present the proposal, and then have a public 14 <br />hearing afterward, but all in the same night. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Council Member Gunn stated she was going by the list they had received that was basically the 17 <br />basic fixes that need to be done to the building. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Council Member Flaherty asked if those were the figures he was going to introduce. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Public Works Director Lee stated that was right, and it would be the same items introduced on 22 <br />April 4th at the work session. 23 <br /> 24 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Review Appeal from Tim Nelson Representing Property Owner Christen 31 <br />Properties, LLC, Regarding the Connection of 2310 County Road 10 to 32 <br />Municipal Water and Sanitary Sewer Services (Ericson) 33 <br /> 34 <br />Director Ericson stated that Mr. Tim Nelson, representing the property owner, Crystal Properties, 35 <br />has requested an appeal to waive the connection requirement for city water and sewer. He stated 36 <br />this was an ordinance that the City adopted back in 1992 that had required property owners to 37 <br />hook up prior to that. He stated the Council had been provided with the correspondence between 38 <br />the property owner and the City. He stated the City has asked that the property owner either 39 <br />connect or come up with a redevelopment plan. He stated that Mr. Nelson did submit a 40 <br />redevelopment plan, but it was incomplete in that it did not have signatures or consent of the 41 <br />property owners of all of the property owners involved in the redevelopment, and he rejected the 42 <br />application, and that the City will work with the property owners . He stated they need to have a 43 <br />connection to the city water and sewer or have the City Council approve of a waiver, and that can 44 <br />either take the form of a one-year waiver with an escrow deposit or be a permanent waiver.
