COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. 7:05 Public Hearing to Consider Resolution 6540, Approving a Comprehensive Land Use <br />Amendment for The Bridges of Mounds View Golf Course Site Staff recommends the council to hold the public hearing and approve Resolution 6540 approving a <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Outdoor Sport Recreation (SRO and Passive Open Space <br />(OSP) to office (OFC) for the Bridges Redevelopment site: Special Planning Case SP-134-05. If the <br />amendment is approved and after redevelopment has commenced, Comp Plan text amendments <br />would be necessary to remove references to a city golf course, adjust acreage totals and amend other <br />maps or exhibits. Staff will seek a cost estimate from RLK as to how much time would be needed to <br />make the Comp Plan internally consistent with the new land use designation. <br /> Motion Made: Motion Second: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />B. 7:10 Public Hearing to Consider Resolution 6541, Accepting and Approving the Final Draft of <br />the Bridges Office Development Alternative Urban Areawide Review Document Staff recommends the council to hold the public hearing and approve Resolution 6541 accepting and <br />approving the Bridge Redevelopment Site Alternative Urban Area-wide Review. Acceptance of the <br />AUAR does not obligate the City to move forward with a redevelopment of the golf course. <br /> Motion Made: Motion Second: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />C. 7:15 Public Hearing to Consider a Variance Appeal to Reduce the Front Parking Setback to <br /> Zero Feet at Ace Supply Company Located at 4749 Old Highway 8. <br />After holding the Public Hearing and taking testimony from staff, the applicant and affected neighbors, <br />the Council can take one of the following actions related to the request: <br /> <br />1. Deny the requested variance. Resolution 6544 is attached for the Council’s approval if that is the <br />chosen course of action. <br />2. Approve the variance as requested. To move forward with this option, the Council should direct staff to <br />draft a resolution of approval with findings of fact appropriate to support the approval. <br />3. Table the request. If additional information is needed before a decision can be rendered or if more <br />discussion is needed, the Council can simply move to table the request until such information has been <br />provided. Because of 60-day requirements, the Council would need to act upon the request as soon <br />as reasonably possible to avoid an inadvertent approval. <br />Motion Made: Motion Second: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />D. Resolution 6537 Approving the Acquisition of Tax Forfeited Property for Purposes of <br /> Stormwater Management. <br />Staff recommends the council to approve Resolution 6537, authorizing the acquisition of use deeds for <br />the public purpose of stormwater management over Lot 3, Block 2 and Outlot B of Sherwood Estates. <br />Motion Made: Motion Second: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
