MEETING IS CALLED TO ORDER 12 <br /> 13 <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 14 <br /> 15 <br />Girl Scout Troop 530 presented the flags and led the City Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. 16 <br /> 17 <br />3. ROLL CALL: Marty, Gunn, Flaherty, and Stigney 18 <br /> 19 <br /> NOT PRESENT: Thomas 20 <br /> 21 <br />4. APPROVAL OF AGENDA 22 <br /> 23 <br /> A. Monday, May 23, 2005 City Council Agenda. 24 <br /> 25 <br />City Attorney Riggs referenced Items 9A and 9B and suggested holding the public hearing but 26 <br />postpone the vote until the next City Council meeting. 27 <br /> 28 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Flaherty. To Approve the Monday, May 23, 2005 agenda as 29 <br />amended. 30 <br /> 31 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 32 <br /> 33 <br />5. PUBLIC INPUT 34 <br /> 35 <br />David Jahnke, 8428 Eastwood Road, stated that he has been watching the EDA meetings noting 36 <br />that he understands that there are those who do love this golf course. He expressed concerns 37 <br />stating that the City took a survey of the Residents noting that 63-percent of the respondents do 38 <br />not want to keep the golf course. He stated that many of the residents in Mounds View are not 39 <br />present to voice their opinion but they did express their opinion through the survey and stated 40 <br />that they do not want the golf course. He noted the billboard contract stating that he does not 41 <br />know of another golf course in the City that has to be subsidized by another business and urged 42 <br />Council to go with what the people have already said in the survey. 43 <br /> 44
