Mounds View City Council May 23, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br />Brian Amundsen, 3048 Wooddale Drive, reported to Council that a follow-up meeting was held 1 <br />with Public Works Director Lee and City Administrator Ulrich to discuss the street projects. He 2 <br />stated that he is very encouraged by the progress and assured Council that there would be good 3 <br />communication going forward. He thanked City Administrator Ulrich for inviting he and his 4 <br />wife to the meeting. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Duane McCarty, 8060 Long Lake Road, expressed his agreement with Mr. Jahnke stating that a 7 <br />large number of the Residents did state that they do not want the golf course. He suggested that 8 <br />Council include the Survey as a discussion item on the agenda noting that 63-percent of the 9 <br />Residents also said they were in favor of keeping the golf course via the billboard contract, if it 10 <br />can turn a good revenue. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Council Member Stigney stated that the actual wording of the survey would be discussed at the 13 <br />June 20th meeting. 14 <br /> 15 <br />6. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS 16 <br /> 17 <br />A. Resolution 6529, Resolution of Appreciation to Sergeant Jerry Johnson 18 <br /> 19 <br />Mayor Marty read the Resolution 6529, Resolution of Appreciation to Sergeant Jerry Johnson. 20 <br />He stated that on behalf of the residents of Mounds View he would like to express their 21 <br />appreciation for Sergeant Johnson’s 31 years of dedicated and devoted service to the City of 22 <br />Mounds View. 23 <br /> 24 <br />MOTION/SECOND Gunn/Marty To Approve Resolution 6529 a Resolution of Appreciation 25 <br />to Sergeant Jerry Johnson. 26 <br /> 27 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 28 <br /> 29 <br />B. Resolution 6535, Resolution of Appreciation to Charlie Hansen, Finance 30 <br />Director 31 <br /> 32 <br />Mayor Marty read the Resolution 6535, Resolution of Appreciation to Charlie Hansen, Finance 33 <br />Director. He thanked Finance Director Hansen for his dedicated and devoted service to the City 34 <br />of Mounds View. He presented Finance Director Hansen with a Plaque of appreciation noting 35 <br />that he came to the City of Mounds View during a tumultuous time and thanked him for all of his 36 <br />contributions. 37 <br /> 38 <br />City Administrator Ulrich thanked Finance Director Hansen for all of the work he has done for 39 <br />the City of Mounds View. He stated that Finance Director Hansen has a lot of integrity and 40 <br />brought the City forward in many ways through financial planning, budgeting and reporting 41 <br />awards.
