Mounds View City Council May 23, 2005 Regular Meeting Page 2 Brian Amundsen, 3048 Wooddale Drive, reported to Council that a follow-up meeting was held 1 with Public Works Director Lee and City Administrator Ulrich to discuss the street projects. He 2 stated that he is very encouraged by the progress and assured Council that there would be good 3 communication going forward. He thanked City Administrator Ulrich for inviting he and his 4 wife to the meeting. 5 6 Duane McCarty, 8060 Long Lake Road, expressed his agreement with Mr. Jahnke stating that a 7 large number of the Residents did state that they do not want the golf course. He suggested that 8 Council include the Survey as a discussion item on the agenda noting that 63-percent of the 9 Residents also said they were in favor of keeping the golf course via the billboard contract, if it 10 can turn a good revenue. 11 12 Council Member Stigney stated that the actual wording of the survey would be discussed at the 13 June 20th meeting. 14 15 6. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS 16 17 A. Resolution 6529, Resolution of Appreciation to Sergeant Jerry Johnson 18 19 Mayor Marty read the Resolution 6529, Resolution of Appreciation to Sergeant Jerry Johnson. 20 He stated that on behalf of the residents of Mounds View he would like to express their 21 appreciation for Sergeant Johnson’s 31 years of dedicated and devoted service to the City of 22 Mounds View. 23 24 MOTION/SECOND Gunn/Marty To Approve Resolution 6529 a Resolution of Appreciation 25 to Sergeant Jerry Johnson. 26 27 Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 28 29 B. Resolution 6535, Resolution of Appreciation to Charlie Hansen, Finance 30 Director 31 32 Mayor Marty read the Resolution 6535, Resolution of Appreciation to Charlie Hansen, Finance 33 Director. He thanked Finance Director Hansen for his dedicated and devoted service to the City 34 of Mounds View. He presented Finance Director Hansen with a Plaque of appreciation noting 35 that he came to the City of Mounds View during a tumultuous time and thanked him for all of his 36 contributions. 37 38 City Administrator Ulrich thanked Finance Director Hansen for all of the work he has done for 39 the City of Mounds View. He stated that Finance Director Hansen has a lot of integrity and 40 brought the City forward in many ways through financial planning, budgeting and reporting 41 awards. He thanked him for a job well done. 42 43 MOTION/SECOND Stigney/Flaherty To Approve Resolution 6535 A Resolution of 44 Appreciation to Charlie Hansen, Finance Director. 45
