TYMCO 600 $141,550.00 <br />Trade-in -$23,000.00 <br /> $118,550.00 + tax <br /> <br /> <br />Auto Lube System (installed by staff) $2,542.03 + tax <br /> <br /> <br />All above sweepers were highly investigated by staff (operators and mechanic) for <br />design, (operator friendly), the least maintenance issues, safety, and parts availability. <br />With all this being considered the Elgin Crosswind is determined to be the best machine <br />to meet the requirements of the City of Mounds View. The staff realizes that cost is a <br />major consideration; therefore the staff has made a direct comparison between the final <br />choice and the lowest bidder. We feel the Elgin Crosswind is a better choice based on <br />the following criteria. <br /> <br />-Better performance. It was noticed that the Elgin Crosswind performed a <br />cleaner job in the same setting. The crosswind was also quieter, <br />therefore reducing likelihood disturbing residents while in use. <br /> <br />-Superior design. The staff felt that Crosswind was a much more modern <br />design and that there were many specific items that would allow the <br />machine to operate more efficiently and last much longer. The staff and <br />mechanic also felt that maintenance and adjustments were much more <br />easily performed on the Elgin Crosswind.
