Mounds View Planning Commission August 7, 1996 <br /> Regular Meeting Page 2OW/ <br /> Planning Associate Pruitt explained that Planning Case No. <br /> Everest Property Management is requesting a 453-96 <br /> PUD amendment and development review to <br /> expand the parking lot at 5251 Program <br /> Avenue, Building G and reminded the Planning <br /> Commission that this item was discussed at <br /> their July 24, 1996, agenda meeting. She <br /> continued by explaining that the applicant is <br /> requesting to have a net increase of 35 parking <br /> stalls on the east side of the property and • <br /> wishes to increase the number of stalls in order <br /> to meet the demands of a tenant that may <br /> locate to the business park which will bring the <br /> total number of parking stalls provided on the <br /> site to 500. She noted that the plans indicate <br /> the parking spaces located on the east side of <br /> the property will abut the property line and <br /> noted that at the last meeting the Planning • <br /> Commission agreed to allow parking up to the <br /> property line for this PUD amendment since a <br /> landscaping buffer is being provided within the <br /> right-of-way. It was also noted that the parking <br /> area to the south of the building will be <br /> restriped. She also indicated that Rick <br /> Wriskey, City Forester, has requested the <br /> existing trees be moved within 8 to 9 feet from <br /> the curb along the right-of-way and also that <br /> the applicant has been advised that the <br /> amendment will require Rick Creek Watershed <br /> District approval. <br /> Planning Associate Pruitt noted the <br /> contingencies contained in Resolution No. <br /> 468-96 which are: 1) a landscaping plan be <br /> submitted subject to approval of the City <br /> Forester and 2) approval be given from Rice <br /> Creek Watershed District. <br /> Motion/Second: Brasaemle/Miller to approve <br /> Resolution No. 468-96 as amended <br /> recommending approval of an amendment to <br />
