Item No: 08G <br />Meeting Date: July 25, 2005 <br />Type of Business: CB <br />City Administrator Review: ____ <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Desaree Crane, Administrative Assistant to Administration <br /> <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 6572 Approving Appointments to the Northwest <br />Area Library Access Task Force <br /> <br /> <br />Attached is a letter from Susan Nemitz, Ramsey County Library Director, outlining <br />a request to appoint two members from Mounds View to the Northwest Area <br />Library Access Task Force. <br /> <br />The Northwest Area Library Task Force will meet twice monthly, with the first <br />meeting starting on August 10, 2005 at 7pm (located to be determined). The <br />Library Director has indicated that the Commission is still determining the dates for <br />these future meetings. <br /> <br />The task force will be important to the future of the Mounds View Library as well as <br />future library service to residents. According to the Ramsey County Library <br />Administration Department, this task force will be planning on having public <br />meetings in Arden Hills, Mounds View and New Brighton to get public input. <br /> <br />Attached is Resolution 6572 for Council consideration. A blank space has been <br />left for the Council (or staff) appointment and the Mayor is indicated as making the <br />appointment of a resident from those residents whom expresses an interest in <br />serving.
