Ordinance 588 -Draft <br /> • December 4, 1996 <br /> Page 3 <br /> proposes to construct an accessory building to house any necessary equipment, application <br /> must be made for a conditional use permit. (Accessory buildings are conditional uses in <br /> the Public Facilities PF and the Conservancy, Recreation and Preservation CRP Districts.) <br /> b. Co-location on Existing Towers: Antennae shall be permitted to be attached to <br /> existing towers within the City in accordance with the applicable siting guidelines and <br /> design criteria in Section 1126.04, after providing a written statement of approval from <br /> the tower owner or lessor and obtaining a building permit from the City and paying the <br /> necessary fees. <br /> Subd. 2. Conditional Uses, Specific Districts: CTWS towers and antennae for the following <br /> zoning districts are allowed with the approval of a conditional use permit and in <br /> accordance with the co-location requirements stated in Section 1126.04, siting <br /> requirements and design criteria stated in Section 1126.05, and the procedural <br /> requirements stated in Section 1126.06. The procedure for review and action on <br /> conditional use permits shall be as stated in Section 1125.01. <br /> a. In R-1, R-2, R-3, R-4, R-5 and R-O Districts: <br /> • (1) Roof-mounted CTWS antennae mounted on religious institutions, <br /> educational facilities, and government or public utility buildings in <br /> accordance with Section 1126.05, Subd. 7: height shall not exceed ten feet <br /> (10'). <br /> (2) CTWS antennas concealed within upward thrusting architectural <br /> components such as a church steeple, spire or bell-tower, smokestack, etc: <br /> height to conform to architectural element. <br /> f31 Towers, and antennas on structures other than those enumerated in Section <br /> 1126.03, Subd. 2.a.(1) above, are not permitted in these districts. <br /> b. In B-1 and B-2 Districts, CWTS towers and antennae shall not exceed seventy- <br /> five feet (75') in height. The height may be increased up to a maximum of ninety- <br /> five feet (95') if the applicant can demonstrate to the City that the extra height is <br /> necessary for the co-location of another provider's antenna. <br /> c. In B-3, B-4 and I-1 Districts, CWTS towers and antennae shall not exceed one <br /> hundred feet (100') in height. The height of a tower may be increased up to a <br /> maximum of one hundred and twenty feet (120') if the applicant can demonstrate <br /> to the City that the extra height is necessary for the co-location of another <br /> • <br /> 3 <br />
