This CUP originally allowed for the construction of
an oversized garage as part of the applicant's proposed home at 2908 Ardan Avenue. Section
1106.04, Subdivision 6 of the Municipal Code requires a conditional use permit for all garages in
excess of 864 square feet. The garage proposed was 940 square feet. The Planning Commission
approved Resolution No. 415-95 on April 5, 1995. On November 29, 1995, the applicant made
• application to increase the size of the garage by 54 square feet to a total of 994 square feet. The
Planning Commission approved Resolution No. 436-95 for the additional square footage. The City
Council adopted Resolution No. 4878 on January 22, 1996 approving the CUP. The CUP expired
on January 22, 1997 because the structure has not been completed and the applicant did not file for
an extension.
