Planning Case No. 479-97 <br /> Staff Report,Oversized Garage CUP <br /> May 7, 1997 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Discussion: <br /> At the April 16, 1997 Planning Commission meeting, concern was raised with respect to the width <br /> of the garage and the number of accesses. In Section 1106.04, Subd. 6 of the Zoning Code, the <br /> conditional use permit requirements specify that garages are prohibited from being any wider than <br /> 35 feet (the applicant had received approval for 40 feet) and shall not allow access for more than <br /> three vehicles (the applicant had received approval for 4 accesses.) The Planning Commission <br /> chose to not require the applicant to alter the building design and plans given the fact that the <br /> Planning Commission had twice approved the CUP before and that work had already begun on the <br /> building. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Approve Planning Commission Resolution 501-97 recommending to the City Council re-approval <br /> of a Conditional Use Permit for Anthony Honkomp to allow for the construction of a 994 square- <br /> foot attached garage at 2908 Ardan Avenue. <br /> N:\DATA\USERS\PAMS\SHARE\DEVCASES\479-97\13NKP-PC2.RPT • <br /> • I <br />
