Revenues Generated-Property Tax and Certain Intergovernmental <br /> Transfers <br /> A. City Revenues <br /> General revenue sources typically generate the vast majority <br /> of municipal revenues through such sources as real and personal <br /> property taxes , user charges , intergovernmental transfers from <br /> the state and federal governments and various fines and per- <br /> mits among others . <br /> In Fiscal Year 1981 , the City of Mounds View received revenues <br /> primarily from taxes ( 22%) , intergovernmental transfers ( 38%) <br /> including homestead credit and fiscal disparities , charges for <br /> services ( 6% ) , and interest on investments ( 25% ) . <br /> One of the most significant sources of local city revenue is <br /> • the real property tax . Revenue projections of the city share <br /> are based on the revenues expected to be generated by the real <br /> property tax alone including homestead credit . Such revenues <br />
