Alternative forms of housing in the medium density range will be provided <br /> in transitional areas between single family residential neighborhoods <br /> and high density residential development. <br /> e . Medium density (3-6 units) housing shall not be allowed to encroach <br /> upon areas specified for low density (1-2 units) development. <br /> f. The existing character of low density neighborhoods shall be maintained <br /> and preserved by preventing encroachment from higher use types and by <br /> buffering these neighborhoods from other types of land uses . <br /> g.
