land access to Highway 10 characteristic of strip commercial . This design is in-
tended to permit Highway 10 to function like a "main street" without the inherent
congestion and traffic circulation conflicts. Land uses proposed for these areas
include commercial adjacent to Highway 10 and county road intersections and
generally low to medium density residential in the central area.. Silver View
Park is the predominant land use comprising nearly 35 acres, of which 12 acres
are lake. Silver View Park is proposed to be a community park, including both
recreational and open space amenities. Given its size and location, this feature
should aid greatly in the task of providing identity and focus to the City Center
area.
Finally, an area of nearly 20 acres located in the far southwestern corner of the
district and cut off by Silver View Park, is proposed to be developed as single
Family residential . This seems entirely appropriate in that it is adjacent to other
low density neighborhoods and is entirely buffered from higher density/intensity
uses by the park.
Ank
111,
•
•
•
173
