❑ 6. "Postal Service Issue" - CRP will study those businesses that indicated a <br /> dissatisfaction level with post office service, and develop a strategy to address the <br /> problem. <br /> O 7. "Product and Service Needs" - CRP will identify one or two services frequently <br /> purchased from outside of the North Metro area. CRP will select a focus group of <br /> firms who purchase from outside the area and investigate opportunities to attract <br /> these preferred suppliers to the area. CRP will work with local real estate <br /> developers to create suitable space for such businesses. <br /> ❑ 8. "New Airport Impact Study" - CRP will study the characteristics of firms that <br /> indicated that the relocation of the airport would negatively impact their operations, <br /> and determine any potential impact on the city as a result. <br /> ❑ 9. "Study Transportation System Impact" - CRP will study the current transportation <br /> and transit system plan for the Metro Division and determine the impact on those <br /> businesses that identified transportation/transit as a critical factor in their location <br /> decision. <br /> ❑ 10. "Study Day Care Needs_and Availability" - CRP will interview businesses that <br /> 41111 indicated that day care was an important need in terms of location decisions and <br /> identify service delivery capability in relationship to business survey data. <br /> ❑ 11. "Produce a Business and Professional Services Directory77 - CRP will produce a <br /> Business and Professional Services Directory for distribution to the entire business <br /> base. <br /> ❑ 12. "Produce an Updated Manufacturing and Distribution Directory" - CRP will <br /> produce an updated Manufacturing and Distribution sector directory for the entire <br /> business base. <br /> ❑ 13. "Foster a Business Mentoring System"- CRP will work with one to three industry <br /> clusters on an experimental basis to facilitate the creation of a mentoring system, <br /> in which larger experienced firms are partnered with newer emerging firms. This <br /> would be an exploratory effort with the intention of spinning off activity to either <br /> local Chambers of Commerce or the community and technical colleges. <br /> O 14. "International Trade Forum" - CRP will invite survey participants that expressed <br /> an interest in international trade as well as firms currently engaged in international <br /> trade to a series of informal meetings or focus groups to determine their need for <br /> information, and match them with known resources in the community. <br />
