PART II • <br /> Elective Activities <br /> Each community may elect two of the following: <br /> ❑ 1. "Special Surveys" - A survey will be designed and conducted where a city <br /> indicates a need for a special project type undertaking or a specific issue type <br /> survey need. <br /> ❑ 2. "Special Assignments" - CRP will assume special assignments as directed by the <br /> city, to probe possible business expansion and/or redevelopment opportunities. <br /> O 3. "Public Relations" - CRP will assist in the design of a public relation program to <br /> promote the city's effort with the commercial development community, for <br /> example: <br /> • CRP will coordinate an Annual Commercial Developer's Day in which <br /> representatives from the development community will be invited to a social <br /> function hosted by the city followed by a tour of the various <br /> development/redevelopment successes,available sites and buildings. The program <br /> will be structure around site and/or project specific commercial redevelopment <br /> opportunities. <br /> • CRP will coordinate an Annual Realtor's Day in which realtors would be invited <br /> to tour the community and hear presentations regarding the city's amenities and <br /> housing programs. <br /> • CRP will schedule one-on-one networking sessions with 10 key <br /> development/redevelopment firms/owners-managers -- to be determined in <br /> conjunction with city staff -- for the purpose of educating <br /> development/redevelopment decision makers about the opportunities in the city. <br /> O 4. "Targeted Development/Redevelopment Opportunities" - CRP will use the <br /> Community Partners' data base to target specific identified business <br /> development/redevelopment opportunities, e.g., opportunities for product and/or <br /> service expansion that have been identified by area businesses as being needed. <br /> O 5. "Relocation Candidates" - CRP will study businesses that indicated they might <br /> relocate to gain access to capital and/or debt financing. <br />
