Mounds View City Council August 8, 2005 <br />Regular Meeting Page 21 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that it also sets the precedent for paying off the flex-hours rather 2 <br />than having them use the hours. He stated that they would have the same issue with any of the 3 <br />administrative staff who also accumulate flex-hours and the City has not compensated those 4 <br />upon termination. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Council Member Thomas stated that the least amount of deviation was to let them to work out 7 <br />the flex hours because it was actually mentioned in the personnel manual as an exception 8 <br />whereas nothing else they have discussed is. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Council Member Stigney stated that with this being an exception the exception should be that the 11 <br />City should pay the flextime based on the date of termination. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Mayor Marty suggested getting copies of the documentation on the flextime from the manual and 14 <br />an update of the actual hours and include for discussion at the next Council meeting. 15 <br /> 16 <br />D. Resolution 6595 Approving the 2005 Festival in the Park Contract. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Administrative Assistant Crane stated that at the August 1, 2005 Special Work Session the City 19 <br />Council discussed and reviewed the Festival in the Park of Mounds View contract. She 20 <br />explained that the Festival in the Park of Mounds View contract authorizes the Mayor and the 21 <br />City Administrator to execute the 2005 Festival agreement. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Mayor Marty clarified that this is the same contract that the City has used for the last four years. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Council Member Gunn confirmed noting that Administrative Assistant Crane also has a copy of 26 <br />their insurance contract and the insurance contract from Melrose Pyrotechnics. She assured the 27 <br />Council that everything was current. 28 <br /> 29 <br />City Administrator Ulrich noted that later on the agenda they have the discussion for the 30 <br />distribution of the Bethlehem Baptist Church funds in the amount of $2,500.00, which is 31 <br />projected to go towards the Festival in the Park and it is his understanding that this would be in 32 <br />addition to the $4,000.00 that the City would contribute. He stated that he does not want any 33 <br />misunderstanding noting that there would be the $4,000.00 plus the $2,500.00 going through the 34 <br />City for the Festival in the Park. 35 <br /> 36 <br />MOTION/SECOND.
