<br /> <br />Item No. 09B <br />Type of Business: CB <br />WK: Work Session; PH: Public Hearing; <br />CA: Consent Agenda; CB: Council Business <br />City Administrator Review _______ City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Desaree Crane, Administrative Assistant to <br />Administration <br /> <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution No. 6619 Authorizing the Closing of City Hall <br />to Prepare to move temporarily to the Mounds View <br />Community Center <br /> <br />Meeting Date: September 12, 2005 <br /> <br /> <br />Professional movers are tentatively scheduled to move all furniture, files, boxes, and equipment <br />on Saturday, October 1st. Staff recommends that consideration be given to closing the City Hall <br />building on the Friday before (September 30, 2005) due to the need to have everything ready <br />for the movers on Saturday, to minimize potential overtime, and to avoid disruptions and <br />hazardous situations due to the moving. <br /> <br />The closing of City Hall will be announced on the City’s Voice Mail system, on Cable Television, <br />the Mounds View Website and posted at the front door of City Hall. In addition, a press release <br />will be forwarded to all newspapers and news agencies to announce the temporary move to the <br />Mounds Community Center and to announce closing of City Hall on Friday, September 30, <br />2005. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends passing Resolution 6619 to authorize the closing of City Hall on Friday, <br />September 30, 2005, to minimize potential overtime, and to avoid disruptions and hazardous <br />situations due to the moving.
