Resolution 6574 Severance Payment for Marla Manypenny. 10 <br /> 11 <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that this is authorizing severance payment for Marla 12 <br />Manypenny. He explained that it would include payment for vacation, comp time and sick leave 13 <br />for a total of $449.49. 14 <br /> 15 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Marty/Thomas. To Approve Resolution 6574 Severance Payment for 16 <br />Marla Manypenny. 17 <br /> 18 <br /> Ayes-5 Nays-0 Motion carried. 19 <br /> 20 <br />F. Resolution 6579 Revising the Policy for Employee Appreciation Events and 21 <br />5-year Employment Milestone Gift Certificates. 22 <br /> 23 <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated this was reviewed at last City Council work session. He 24 <br />explained that the direction was to look at an amendment, which also provided the return 25 <br />employee an option of a $50 gift certificate in lieu of a plaque. He noted that this was inserted 26 <br />into the resolution and the revised policy. He stated that in also doing this it was found out that 27 <br />the employee appreciation event is to be held at the Mounds View Banquet and Conference 28 <br />Center and the amendment added City Hall Park because a couple of the events were held at City 29 <br />Parks. He stated that the language has been added to allow the event to be held at City Parks. He 30 <br />stated that this is to inform people that it is the policy of the City to give employees $5.00 gift 31 <br />certificates for each of the five years of their service. He stated that Resolution 6579 has been 32 <br />presented for City Council approval. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Council Member Gunn noted that the amendment requires a correction. She stated that it 35 <br />currently states that events would be held at the Mound City Parks and it should read Mounds 36 <br />View City Parks. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if he could make an amendment that the employee gift 39 <br />certificates be applicable to Mounds View City businesses. 40 <br /> 41 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Stigney/Marty To Approve Resolution 6579, Revising the Policy for 42 <br />Employee Appreciation Events and 5-Year Employee Milestone Gift Certificates as amended and 43 <br />to include language that states that the Employee Gift Certificates be made applicable to Mounds 44 <br />View City Businesses. 45
