<br />Item No. 8H <br />Meeting Date: September 26, 2005 <br />Type of Business: CC <br />WK: Work Session; PH: Public Hearing; <br />CA: Consent Agenda; EDA: EDA Business <br /> <br /> City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Mounds View City Council <br />From: Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Consideration of Holding a Special City Council <br />Meeting prior to the Transfer of Real Property, <br />commonly known as the Bridges of Mounds View Golf <br />Course. <br /> <br />Date of Report: September 26, 2005 <br /> <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you are aware, on July 11, 2005 the City Council approved the second <br />reading of Ordinance 760 authorizing the sale of the land comprising the Bridges <br />of Mounds View Golf Course to the Mounds View EDA. Subsequently, on <br />August 31, 2005 the Purchase Agreement and Contract for Private Development <br />between Medtronic, Inc. and the City of Mounds View was executed. As part of <br />the closing process there are several items that require City Council <br />consideration and action prior to the expected transfer of the real property to <br />Medtronic. These include, but are not limited to, the approval of new leases with <br />Clear Channel, action related to the quit claim deed, and a license agreement <br />with Medtronic pertaining to the public auction.
