3. Design pathway/bikeway <br />Staff is looking for direction on how phase / stage the various pathway <br />sections. DNR Trailway grant will be applied for. The maximum grant <br />amount is $100,000. There it may be advantageous to break the trailway <br />project into smaller segments and apply for a DNR grant each year. The <br />County will have little, if any, financial participation on the trailways. <br /> <br />4. Design lighting and landscaping plan <br />What general design characteristics the County will allow? How should it <br />be phased? <br /> <br />5. Prioritization of intersection upgrades <br />Which intersections do the County and City Council see as priorities? <br /> <br />6. Perform environmental assessments <br />Having this done will increase the chances of receiving federal grant that <br />may be available. <br /> <br /> <br />7. Examine redevelopment opportunity and realignment of Long Lake Road <br />What is the City Council’s vision for this intersection? <br /> <br />8. Review closing of Hillview Road / Fairchild Ave. <br />This is included in the plan. Staff would like to discuss any considerations <br />pertaining to this closure. <br /> <br />9. Rename County Road 10 (e.g., Mounds View Boulevard) <br />Does the City Council wish to pursue this? <br /> <br />10. Install emergency vehicle pre-emption (EVP) devices at all signalized <br />intersections – Should this item be added as the intersections are <br />upgraded or done as a separate project all at the same time? <br /> <br />11. Improve safety of pedestrian crossing <br />The plan includes several design characteristics that will improve <br />pedestrian crossing safety. Are there other items that should be added to <br />increase safety? <br /> <br />12. Community entry sign(s) <br />Include in this plan? Location(s)?
